About Conference

We warmly welcome you to join us online in Riga, Latvia on 19-21 October, 2021 for the 44th IAEVG international conference. Spend three inspiring days online exploring how career guidance can maximize the potential of individuals and communities, education and economies!

The Riga conference will be an online event. In light of ongoing COVID safety concerns and to ensure the safety and peace of mind of participants, the IAEVG board and the Riga conference organizers have agreed that the IAEVG International Conference will be held online. All existing registrations stand and previously submitted proposals will be honored. The conference proceedings will be published electronically and provided to all the participants who paid their fees.

The conference will last for 3 days with 3 1/2 hours of active time each day. The first session (75 minutes) is for keynotes. After a 15-minute health break led by a physiotherapist, the second session (90 minutes) is for workshops and paper or poster sessions. The final ½ hour each day is for social activities.

Of the submitted 106 proposals, including 24 workshops, 73 papers and 9 posters, the final programme includes 18 workshops, 52 papers and 7 posters. Fourteen parallel sessions happening every day include 6 paper sessions, 6 workshops and 1 poster session along with one IAEVG special event each day: the General Assembly, Symposium and Panel discussion.

The live sessions will be recorded, and the recordings will be available for 1 year to attendees.

For a career guidance professional - whether you are a practitioner, trainer, researcher, manager or policy maker – the IAEVG Riga conference is a supportive environment to develop new vision. This international forum has been created to reimagine the future of guidance as a discipline, field and a scope of practice.

Join us online and share and discover research and experience, deliver and take part in presentations and workshops, recharge your intellectual and emotional batteries. Together through professional and scientific exchanges we can rise as a community of practice to meet the challenges of contemporary society.

The conference is co-funded with support from the Erasmus+ programme, the European Social Fund SO 8.3.5. Project and the budget of the State Education Development Agency.
